As Mistress of Ceremonies at BEG, BORROW, STEAL #4 – Riot Grrrlz not Quiet Grrrlz Laura adopted a questionable alter-ego, somewhat invisible yet antagonistic. Gently goading audience and artists alike, this Unsavoury Compere was passably genial but generally indifferent, embodying a punk spirit and rejecting her role as ‘hostess’ by getting her audience to do met of her work for her and addressing them via an obnoxious loudhailer, even at close distances.
